ARMANTI EDWARDS FOR THE HEISMAN...
Edwards gained the national spotlight when he lead the Mountaineers to a 34-32 victory over the Michigan Woverines at the Big House. We have talked about that game time and time again. He simply did not give up, neither did the rest of the team...thus bringing home the victory - which shocked the entire College Football world. Well not the entire College Football world, there we were some believers out there, that knew what Edwards and the rest of the squad was capable of accomplishing. In December, he led the Appalachian State Mountaineer's to a third straight National Title.
Eyes will be watching Armanti Edwards, I guarantee you he will be in the running for the Heisman this year. And once again, the spotlight will be on the little town in Boone, NC.

ARMANTI EDWARDS FOR THE HEISMAN...I like the prediction Dook but Armanti is only a Junior so we could see him do it twice. |

ARMANTI EDWARDS FOR THE HEISMAN...well I doubt someone from the lower division would win the Heisman, but he could win player of the year in Division 2. Do they play any I-A games this year? He would have to go crazy on those games. |

He would have to go crazy on those games.Well he could not win DII, because I-AA/the FCS Subdivision is a higher division. This is a common mistake, that many make - the level of play between the BCS team's to the top tier of the I-AA/FCS Subdivision, is not that great, they are considered like the mid-majors of college football. D-II is a lower level of play, definitely. |

Plus, the only time he will get national coverage for us to see on TV is in 1-A games. I like football, and would watch him, if I could. I even go to most of our local HS games Friday night. Of course, that's to see the daughter play picolo in the band as much as watch the team play. |

ARMANTI EDWARDS FOR THE HEISMAN...He may deserve consideration but in reality these votes are cast by actual people and too many of them will dismiss him as having played most of the season against inferior competition. Not a knock on Edwards but just a reality of the situation. It's kind of like a closer trying to win MVP in baseball. Not gonna happen. |

ARMANTI EDWARDS FOR THE HEISMAN...We will see. He will have a chance to prove himself against LSU. If he gets shut down, like I think he will and would put money on he does, he will be out the picture from the get go. No offense. I just don't see it being much of a game. |
