Bedside Drawer - Revisited...

My Mother is here...sense the excitement in the tone of that statement? I do love her I really do, but after all, she's my Mother...

On to the topic at hand. Mom found out last summer that I had things in my bedside drawer other than a toenail clipper, books, lotion, the normal stuff. She was shocked, I think, or maybe she just acted that way. Anyhow, Mom has been single for quite some time, and there is not any sign of her having any male friends knocking on her door, as she's not interested any more...so I offered to pick her a little something up. I mean, seriously, how many daughter's are one this open with their Mom's, and two would offer such a thing....she declined my offer...and has never ever brought it up since.

Today, we were straightening things up downstairs, she came across this zipper bag...Is this yours? I replied, yep, has my adult toys in it...her jaw hit the floor! I had to tell her Mom, am just joking, they are upstairs in my bedside drawer...

Procrastinate - Wait - OH CRAP It's Tax day!

From Merriam-Webster

Date:
    1588

transitive verb : to put off intentionally and habitually intransitive verb : to put off intentionally the doing of something that should be done
I just looked the definition of procrastinate, I wanted to see if my picture was there along side it. I was amazed, quite frankly, that it was not. Here's the scoop, I have put off doing my taxes until the week before they were do, had poor record keeping this past year, took off four days last week to get these affairs in order and filed, and here I sit last night cussing at my printer because it won't connect and give me what I need to file my taxes.

As i said, i was off last week for four days, now mind you, I work in a studio, where there are no windows...and we had the most beautiful spring weather here and I was actually off. Was I inside? Well if I was, I was farting around not doing what I need to do, taking a nap or playing on sportsline or messing with my online playlists, there are so many things you can do when you have something else to do. Then, I decided I needed to plant the little garden in front of my town house, one day won't kill me right? Well after one day, I was out there another and then decided to be out there again on Sunday as well.

Sunday was the real nightmare, as I was taking small fry to see his Dad, my key broke off in the deadbolt. My neighbors all jumped and offered to call a lock smith, I opted to call my Daddy however, who saved me. Okay, hurdle crossed, let's work on the taxes. I sit down at the computer and decide, nah, I have all afternoon, go to the garden store instead. After playing outside in my little garden...I finally opt to attack the taxes around four, now or never. I sit down and try to print something, my printer will not work. CRAP!! I run to Target and buy a new one, pick up my son and begin to open Turbo Tax...but wait, it won't launch. At this point I am on the verge of pulling my hair out of my head. I try numerous times to launch the program, only to find out once I go to online support and talk to a BOT...another blog...that they no longer support Mac OS 10.39 or lower...WHAT!!!! Well might as well hook up the new printer. I open the box, and am like WHAT!?!, this thing is missing software and has been used....bloody h3ll!!

After venting to a few friends either online or on the phone, I opt to go to bed.

Monday...Turbo Tax was great and helped me get the software I needed, but I entered in numbers wrong, and it would have been a $3000+ error in the favor of the state of North Carolina. Small Fry was jumping and in my hair, I simply could not think...I install the newly exchanged printer to print the documents for the return...I did efile but needed something...IT WON'T WORK...somehow i get the old one to print out...thankfully....

Now back to procrastinate, did I learn anything from this? Probably not...and now that I need to get my arse in gear and head to the studio...OH CRAP I AM LATE...Small Fry is not dressed yet running around in his Skid mark free briefs (BRAND NEW).

Put a plug in it, downard spiral...not yet!

I am in a state of shock, bliss and simply amazed. My Orioles are on top of the AL East in more years than I can count on my hands. Right now, we are 7-4 and just came off a 3 game skid. I simply can not believe it. I know, I know, it is still very early on in the season. Y'all can all just bite me!! I am so tired about hearing how great the Red Sox are and how wonderful the Yankees are, seeing that they have the biggest payroll in the bigs.

I hope that it is not short lived, and we can continue the momentum into the bulk of the season, making the AL East much more competitive...

As for my avatar, I think it is only fitting to fly Wild Bill Hagy (RIP), my friend. Those of you that are O's fans know him, know the stories about him. I was fortunate enough to actually know Wild Bill and his extended family. We sat with him at games, cheered...and right now, Wild Bill is up in heaven looking down doing his famous O-R-I-O-L-E-S chant!!!!!!!!

Go O's hon, grab me an effing natty boh an an eskkay hotdog and git yoursef down to Camden hon...da birds are waiting! (That is for Pigtown and anyone else that can understand Balmorese...you are too cool!)

O-R-I-O-L-E-S GO O'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OOOhhhhhh this is ticking me offff

I am sitting here working between two keyboards, one is new and wireless...I have had less than two months. The other I have had for a while but had to retire. Both are logitech keyboards. Here is the problem. The old one was fantastic, but I spilled mountain dew on it back in January and well it's never really been the same and you need to work hard to push the keys...I take it they are sticky....

The second, I purchased as part of a package, thought it was a decent deal, well the wireless optical mouse seems to work just fine, that is until the batteries poop out ...no comments from the peanut gallery about batteries that is a blog for another day. While the keyboard's batteries finally pooped out this weekend, I opted to pull the batteries out of something else until I could make it to target for replacements. I put new batteries in on Monday nice batteries right? And dang if it has not pooped out again today...what is the deal..I look like my good friend chip when he's posting drunk...
Let me give you an example....the word sexy well with chip being drunk it comes out secsy.

so now i will attempt to type a sentence with the wireless keyboard...just for show...
okay switching,

ts bette work, see  am nt bking upad taa's missng vowels and cp wetters and whhhhhhhhht and substtdinting letters.

That sentence should have read: This better work, see I am not backing up and it's missing vowels and cap letters and what not and substituting letters. Wow!

I guess if I want to full y'all that I am drunk...then keep the keyboard, otherwise...I will be buzzing in some customer service reps ear tomorrow...
