Am I turning into a Smurf?

Okay, yesterday, I went to the doctor's because I was feeling like crap. When I was told to go AHHHH and open my mouth, the PA looked at me and said, your tongue is blue. I replied, well I just had a blue throat lozenge. She said to me good, I was hoping you were not turning into a  smurf

to which I replied, or that dude in Oregon that turned himself blue?
Man turns himself blue!!!

Funny thing, the other night, on the CBB Board kingbed referred to me as a smurf, so since I am a female, does that make me Smurfette?

Smurfette has officially left the blog....The End!

Basketball and the state of Tennessee

Okay basketball fans, huge match-up this weekend #2 Tennessee Volunteers traveling to in state rival #1 Memphis Tigers. I put in that previous statement rival, because if they aren't rivals now, they will be after a #1 & #2 match-up, as UT has always been the big dog (Smokey forgive the pun) in the state of Tennessee. Memphis, however has been steadily climbing the ladder to college basketball in recent years. The Tigers are 26-0 and the Volunteers are 24-2 with their only losses coming against Kentucky by 6 in January, and went into Texas in late November and was convincingly beaten.

Now with that being said, let us now talk about conference strength, Memphis plays in the CUSA, which is not nearly as strong as the SEC in which Tennessee plays. Both team's have rather good coaches. In no way, am I trying to knock the CUSA, you merely need to look at all the rating parameters to confirm this.

Now, when UNC was #1 and got knocked off by Maryland in January, a thread was posted on the CBB board which proclaimed that the state of Tennessee was the new mecca for college basketball.  This thread got everyone in an uproar, because in order to be a mecca, don't you think there would have to be one perhaps maybe two recently won National Championships in the state (not belittling the Lady Vols, we are talking Men's Hoops), and last time I checked, um there are none. Come and talk to me in a few years time as to where the "new mecca of Basketball" is.

I personally think it is great that the top 20 has shifted and there are new team's in the rankings, that is what makes this sport so much fun to watch and follow.

Go ahead LSU get your whine on now

Got home last night to see the following article on the site LSU's QB Suspended Indefinitely.

How interesting. I heard that the next QB in succession is from the Ivy League.

Does this change the match-up in August against my alma mater, Appalachian State?

What if LSU does not perform up to standards, will it be said it was because of QB issues?

Go ahead get your whine on now, your team has six months to prepare if he's not going to play at all. Practice starts on February 29.

I will say this, we have at Appalachian State a returning QB. He is a Junior this year, his name is Armanti Edwards, learn his name - he will become a household name in football. He may be small, smaller than most of the QB's in your precious Division I (BCS), but Edwards is fast and has some moves. He is one to be watched...mark my words.

I am PROTESTING!!!!!!!!

I woke up this morning to find a thread to me on my beloved college basketball board, by my friend Chippy, entitled,

dook...lose the avatar

So, naturally, I clicked on the thread and read his post, his argument was weak, that he did not like looking at Brady Anderson. Well apparently myself, Mom, geze and LM have enjoyed him thus far, so in sheer protest, Brady is staying up. And on that note, dook will be running avatars for an unspecified period of time of hot men athletes!!!!!!! That is unless I lose the two outstanding avatar bets I have, one takes place tonight (UNC vs NCSTATE and the other is a re-bet on the dook vs UNC)...other than that, dook's avatar's will be beef-caked away....

Ladies, enjoy....

Mens, see what we have to ENDURE everyday with your avatar's of women...you will learn to turn a blind eye or two...

Ladies join me would you? Post yourself a hot male athlete and enjoy not only what he contributes on the field but the Yumminess factor he contributes to your eyes and whatever else...

forgive me I am quite...oh never mind...
